Jenifer Covington currently teaches Kindermusik classes for children 0-7 years and their parents primarily at the Musical Arts Center location on 410 and Jones Maltsburger. She also teaches piano and classical guitar lessons for individuals from 6 - 106 and adaptive music lessons and music therapy for all ages. Her music therapy practice focuses on using music to accomplish educational and developmental goals with the majority of her practice consisting of individuals with diagnoses on the Autism Spectrum.

Jenifer began studying the piano at the age of 6 and has been teaching individual music lessons since 1995. She graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a degree in music therapy in 2002. In 2003, she completed additional training and became a licensed Kindermusik educator. Most recently, she completed her Master of Education in Instructional Technology in 2007. Jenifer takes her professional responsibility to continually work to enhance her own knowledge and skills seriously. Her short term continuing education plans include learning more specific pedagogy techniques for teaching piano lessons to students of all ages and levels by attending workshops, conferences, and through more active collaborative relationships with other experienced and respected piano teachers in the area.
